Running into the ex.

Well, my ex really (Saar), but a friend of both of us. He really was a nice guy and fun to hang out with in the beginning, but in the end (only a few weeks later) he was mostly grumpy. Nevertheless, we thought he was a cool guy.

When we broke up I was not very sad nor extremely angry, just annoyed that I had to find out instead of him telling me. I guess he thought I was angry, because he avoided all contact since, and not only with me, with Japie too. And I don’t really care for that sort of thing, if it’s over, it’s over. But I think you should always be able to say ‘Hi’ to such a person.

Yesterday we were at Pep’s birthday party, and we talked about how we never run into the ex, although we visit the same places he does. And as always when you talk about something like this we both run into him the very same evening, at separate times.

Japie left a bit earlier from Pep’s birthday party then I did, and he ran into the ex at Rotown. According to Japie, it was a movie moment, which ended with the ex exclaiming ‘I hope to see you soon.’

About two hours later, I found myself also in Rotown, and inevitably, I also ran into the ex who was on his way out. I got a strange satisfaction out of meeting him. I don’t know exactly why. He was a bit drunk, and seemed suprised that I was not at all angry with him. I got a chance to say that I was fine, he gave me a kiss on the hand and he left.

The point? Well just, we are all well above 20. So let’s all act this way! And I really hope, he got that now.
